On-Site Process Management & Improvement Workshop
This workshop combines the elements of Process Management and Process Improvement into a single two-day session. Learn how to make sure customers are always satisfied, resolve problems, and improve processes to meet future expectations. Learn how to use basic quality tools. ObjectiveThis two-day workshop conducted at your facility for up to twenty-four people introduces participants to the fundamentals of process management and improvement and the associated quality tools. Participants will learn how to identify and document key processes. They will learn the steps involved with measuring process performance and comparing performance to expected standards. They will be able to compute the process capability index and be able to monitor and control process performance. Participants will learn how to use the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle to guide process improvement efforts. They will learn the steps necessary to begin an improvement project, identify root cause of poor performance, propose solution alternatives, select and implement the solution, evaluate the effectiveness of the solution, and standardize gains to prevent backsliding. Participants will also learn how to use basic quality tools including brainstorming, multi-voting, flowcharts, check sheets, run charts, histograms, process capability, control charts, cause-effect diagrams, Pareto charts, cause-effect trees, scatter diagrams, decision matrixes, and Gantt charts. At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be ready to become active members of Continuous Process Improvement teams. They will also be able to "Ace" the TQM Tools Quiz. Who should attend?The workshop is intended for anyone interested in applying quality tools to manage and control business processes. There is no prerequisite for the workshop but a basic understanding of high school math would be helpful. The workshop is ideal for preparing people to participate on Continuous Process Improvement teams. Outline (two days):The workshop uses both lecture and peer training to introduce the concepts and tools. Participants practice what they have learned on a case study and then apply the concepts to their work.

He has a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering and has worked in quality management for over thirty years. He is an ASQ Certified Quality Manager and Certified Quality Engineer.
