On-site Hoshin Kanri Workshop
Learn how to chart the course for your organization. Learn how to improve results by focusing and linking activities throughout the organization. Hoshin Kanri is a tool used by many world-class organizations to organize their planning activities to achieve breakthrough results. Total Quality Engineering offers three different on-site training options to assure everyone understands the concepts and mechanics of Hoshin Kanri. TQE can help assure that your organization realizes the full power of Hoshin Kanri. One-day WorkshopThis workshop is conducted for up to twenty-four people. Participants will learn the basic concepts and philosophy behind Hoshin Kanri and practice using Hoshin tools in a safe environment. The workshop is designed for executives, managers, strategic planners, TQM facilitators and anyone else that is interested in improving their organization's planning process. The workshop is separated into four modules. Each module begins with a brief lecture to introduce the tools and underlying concepts. Participants then work in teams to practice using the tools on a controlled case study. Results of the case study will be peer evaluated, and the workshop facilitator will coach participants on how to achieve more effective implementation. The four modules are: 1) Mission development, "What is my job and how does it support the organization's business?" 2) Performance Measures, "How do I know I am doing a good job?" 3) Breakthrough Plans, "Where are we going and how are we going to get there?" 4) Periodic Review, "Where are we now? Are we on track or do we need to make adjustments?" At the conclusion of the One-day Workshop, participants will understand basic Hoshin Kanri methodology. They will have practiced using Hoshin tools and will have a much better understanding of how to adapt them to their workplace. They will be ready to begin supporting their organization's Hoshin plan deployment. All participants receive a copy of the Hoshin Handbook. Cost: The cost of the one-day, on-site Hoshin Workshop is $3500 plus travel related expenses. For more information or to schedule a workshop, click here. The agenda is the same as the One-day Workshop except time is added during each module to map the organization's plan into the Hoshin process. In this workshop you learn it, practice it, and then do it for real. At the conclusion of the Two-day Workshop, participants will understand basic Hoshin methodology. They will have practiced using Hoshin tools in a case study environment. Most importantly, they will have used Hoshin tools to create the organization's top level planning tables and be ready to deploy the plan throughout the organization.
